Where are you studying? I tried studying at home for the longest time and finally realized that I can't do it. There are so many distractions. Roommates, friends, food, TV, etc. I always study at the library now and I've been using the app Flora to stay on task. It's been a life changer!

I found that studying with a small group is helpful for me. I see some study groups with tons a people and I don't know how they get anything done. I like to study with a group of 4 people max.

Here are some of the answers from Instagram users:

    1. "Make flash cards! 1000% helpful."

    2. "Study with others, hire a tutor."

We would recommend a few things that help us.

    1. Find a way to focus! If you are constantly being distracted by friends, social media, or anything else, it will be very difficult to study and retain the information.

    2. Study with others if it is helpful for you. Personally, I liked studying by myself and then studying with others. If I was studying with others before I knew the information, it seemed to take even longer to understand it. Get down the basics and then get together with others.

    3. Quizlet! We love Quizlet. Make yourself some flashcards and get them down. Something I found personally helpful was to make flashcards of the basics and get those down before adding in more difficult concepts. If you understand the basics well, more advanced information comes so much easier!

    4. Meet with your professor or TA's. If they have office hours, take advantage of them. Their job is to help you learn.

    5. Look at different YouTube videos explaining the concept. Look a few different ones. Hearing the information explained from multiple people will help it make a bit more sense.

    6. Make a schedule! Check out Ana's blog post with her schedule. https://www.predentaladvice.com/post/a-quick-guide-to-pre-dentistry-by-a-first-gen-student
