I was given similar advice for shadowing. I spent most of my time with a few general dentists in the area. I also went to see a pediatric dentist and an endodontist once each for a few hours.
Is there a reason you would spend a lot of time shadowing endo? Does this particularly interest you?
1. "An office with a general dentist. I've worked at a free clinic, private office, and a corporate one. It's nice seeing all the differences in all and get experiences from everywhere."
We believe it doesn't matter which type of office you worked in necessarily. It does matter more, though, who you have done your shadowing with. We believe that admissions committees want to see that you have a good understanding of dentistry. If you have only shadowed and endo office, for example, you have only seen a small part of dentistry. It would probably look better to shadow 1-2 general dentists and maybe 1-2 specialties that interest you.

Hope this helps! :)
